The present invention provides a method of, computer programs for and apparatus adapted to operate a communications network to determine membership of a group of access nodes of the communications network with which there is a relatively high probability that a mobile node will be associated after the mobile node has been associated with a first access node, access nodes being linked to other access nodes via data communications links, the method comprising: a) detecting characteristics of relationships between access nodes; b) operating the communications network to determine membership of the group in dependence on the detected characteristics.
La présente invention concerne un procédé, des programmes informatiques et un dispositif permettant le fonctionnement d'un réseau de communication afin de déterminer la participation d'un groupe de noeuds d'accès du réseau de communication avec lesquels il y a une probabilité relativement élevée qu'un noeud mobile soit associé après que le noeud mobile a été associé à un premier noeud d'accès, des noeuds d'accès étant reliés à d'autres noeuds d'accès via des liens de communication de données. Selon l'invention, le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : a) détection de caractéristiques de relations entre les noeuds d'accès; fonctionnement du réseau de communication afin de déterminer la participation du groupe en fonction des caractéristiques détectées.
