A compact cigarette making machine (1) for compacting and inserting a quantity of tobacco into a preformed cigarette tube (50) is described. A tobacco receiving member (4) is slidably retained within a base (2) and movable longitudinally thereon to load tobacco into a cigarette tube secured to a nipple (22) at its forward end. A cover (6) is pivotally secured to the rearward end of the tobacco receiving member and slidable therewith with respect to the base. The cover is pivotally movable from an open position to a closed position overlying the tobacco receiving member. The cover is substantially of the same width as the base and has a pair of opposed inner tongues (30) engageable under a respective elongated flange (32) which projects inside the open channel-shaped base from opposed side walls thereof when the tobacco receiving member is retracted rearwardly over the base. Accordingly, the cigarette making machine is very compact in dimension and can be easily carried by a user person.
L'invention concerne une rouleuse compacte (1) servant à tasser et insérer une quantité de tabac dans un tube de cigarette préformé (50). Un élément de réception du tabac (4) est maintenu de manière à glisser à l'intérieur d'une base (2) et peut être déplacé longitudinalement dessus afin de remplir de tabac un tube à cigarette fixé à un raccord (22) à son extrémité antérieure. Un couvercle (6) est fixé, de manière à pivoter, à l'extrémité postérieure de l'élément de réception du tabac et peut glisser par rapport à la base. Le couvercle peut passer, de manière à pivoter, d'une position ouverte à une position fermée, recouvrant ainsi l'élément de réception du tabac (4). Le couvercle est quasiment de la même largeur que la base et possède une paire de languettes intérieures en face l'une de l'autre (30) pouvant s'enclencher sous une bride allongée respectivement (32) qui entre à l'intérieur de la base en forme de canal ouvert à partir des parois en face de celle-ci lorsque l'élément de réception du tabac (4) est tiré en arrière vers la base. Ainsi, la machine à fabriquer les cigarettes est de dimension très compacte et peut donc facilement être transportée par un utilisateur.
