A compact earth filtering machine adapted to engage with a base vehicle includes a frame including a guide structure for guiding earth being screened. A set of rollers is supported by the frame, with each roller associated with a corresponding sprocket. A mesh, forming a continuous loop and supported by the rollers, is provided for elevating and screening earth provided by the guide structure. A drive chain, coupled along an edge of the mesh, is adapted to engage the sprockets associated with the rollers. A driver is provided for rotating a selected one of the rollers and the associated sprocket to thereby cause the mesh to elevate and screen the earth provided by the guide structure. A transverse conveyor supported by the frame transports earth screened by the mesh to a discharge point adjacent to the compact filtering machine.

L'invention concerne une machine de tamisage de la terre conçue pour s'engager sur un véhicule de base. Ladite machine comporte un cadre muni d'une structure de guidage pour guider la terre à tamiser. Un ensemble de cylindres est supporté par le cadre, chaque cylindre étant associé à un pignon correspondant. Un maillage, formant une boucle continue et supporté par les cylindres, permet d'élever et de tamiser la terre alimentée par la structure de guidage. Une chaîne d'entraînement, engageant le bord du maillage, entre en contact avec les pignons associés aux cylindres. Un actionneur fait tourner un cylindre choisi et le pignon associé afin que le maillage s'élève et tamise la terre alimentée par la structure de guidage. Un transporteur transversal supporté par le cadre transporte la terre tamisée à travers le maillage vers un point de déversement à proximité de la machine de tamisage compacte.
