A rotary compressor assembly comprises a motor having a stator and a rotor disposed directly adjacent the stator. The rotor has an inner surface that forms a substantially cylindrical compression chamber having an axis. A first plate and a second plate are fixed relative to the rotor and define opposite ends of the compression chamber. A stationary shaft extends axially through the compression chamber. A roller is rotatably mounted on the stationary shaft and is disposed within the compression chamber. A vane has an outer radial end fixed to the rotor and extends radially inwardly. The vane is fixed to the first and second plates proximate a radial inner end of the vane. The roller defines a slot. The radial inner end of the vane is disposed within the slot. Rotation of the rotor rotates the first and second plates and the vane. Rotation of the vane drivingly rotates the roller. The vane and the roller are relatively slidable.

Compresseur rotatif comprenant un moteur doté d'un stator et d'un rotor directement adjacent au stator. Le rotor comprend une surface interne qui forme une chambre de compression essentiellement cylindrique alignée sur un axe. Une première plaque et une seconde plaque sont fixes par rapport au rotor et constituent les extrémités opposées de la chambre de compression. Un arbre fixe s'étend axialement dans la chambre de compression. Un galet est monté de façon à pouvoir tourner sur l'arbre fixe et se trouve à l'intérieur de la chambre de compression. Le compresseur comprend également une aube caractérisée par une extrémité radiale extérieure assujettie au rotor qui s'étend radialement vers l'intérieur. L'aube est fixée à la première et à la seconde plaque à un endroit près de l'extrémité radiale interne de l'aube. Le galet forme une fente à l'intérieur de laquelle l'extrémité radiale interne de l'aube se loge. La rotation du rotor provoque la rotation de la première et de la seconde plaque ainsi que de l'aube. La rotation de l'aube entraîne la rotation du galet. L'aube et le galet peuvent coulisser l'un par rapport à l'autre.
