ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A compaction machine which comprises passage-defining means defining a die passage having an inlet opening, and an outlet opening remote from the inlet opening; a cyclically re- ciprocatable plunger cyclically receivable into the inlet opening and locating means for locating the passage defining means in alignment with the plunger. The passage-defining means includes a plurality of replaceable liner elements extending longitudinally and spaced circumferentially around the longitudinal axis of the die passage.
