ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A compactor-strapper comprising spaced forward and rearward fixed jaws, forward and rearward movable jaws, hingedly attached independent actuators for said forward and rearward movable jaws, said jaws having removable and replaceable insert mem- bers providing cavities forming a work reception chamber, and a strapping machine having a strap applying portion arranged around a strapping space defined by said cavities and between said forward and rearward jaws, and pneumatic circuitry with 10. automatic cycling, controlling said jaws and said strapper, re- sulatant from a single manual control motion,bundle ejection be- ing safely non-automatic and gussets and load-spreading mem- bers reinforcing jaw portions.
