ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A compatible polymer mixture of two disparate polymers consisting essentially of: A) 0.1-99.9 wt.% of a copolymer comprised of the following monomer units a) 90-10 wt.% methyl acrylate; b) 10-90 wt.% styrene; and c) 0 to <10 wt.% of one or more other monomeric vinyl compounds, other than methyl acrylate and styrene; and B) 99.9-0.1 wt.% of a polymer comprised of the following monomer units a) > 90 to 100 wt.% methyl methacrylate; and b) 0 to < 10 wt.% of at least one monomeric vinyl compound other than methyl methacrylate, has good optical properties and may be used, for example, for the production of molded parts.
