The invention relates to an assembly set for constructing housing or for the field of toys. This set comprises solid assembly bricks having lateral fastening grooves, an upper longitudinal fastening groove and a lower longitudinal fastening groove that serve to assemble two bricks, characterized in that the lateral fastening grooves accommodate a joining element that joins bricks in pairs. The invention also relates to a blocking key for assembling two bricks by means of lateral fastening grooves, characterized in that it comprises a holding lamella that holds an assembly stop against the walls of the fastening grooves (15). The invention is made of wood or of any other suitable material. The joining element is made of wood, metal or of any other suitable material.
