Security / surveillance / monitoring (SSM) cameras usually require expensive installation, cumbersome wiring, additional hardware and constant upkeep (VCR tapes, etc). Wireless solutions exists but their cost is high. Using this new process, it is possible to achieve the goal of SSM in a wireless remote solution at a reduced cost. The process uses camera(s) with wireless capability (i.e. no need for cables/multiplexers) and a built-in web server. This process saves the need for any previously-required hardware (i.e. a server). The video feed can be viewed and/or recorded on a computer on location or remotely over the Internet. While the equipment exists; the process of using the technology for the aforementioned purposes does not. It uses new cameras and requires complex configuration of the technology involved to be a reliable and secure SSM system. This process is beneficial for both private and commercial needs.
