The present invention relates to compositions and methods for fluoridating teeth. More specifically, the invention is a reactive, multi- component composition consisting of an admixture of a stable, non-toxic soluble calcium salt and a soluble calcium complexing (chelating) agent, with a stable, non-toxic soluble fluoride compound, a buffer, and one or more non-interfering carriers. The components of this admixture are mixed in a aqueous environment, resulting in a controlled precipitation of calcium fluoride, and then promptly applied to the tooth surfaces. The invention contemplates mouth rinses, dentifrices, gels, and chewable tablets for application of these compositions and methods.
La présente invention concerne des compositions et des procédés de fluoruration des dents. En l'occurrence, l'invention est une composition réactive à plusieurs composants consistant en un adjuvant de sels de calcium solubles non toxiques et d'un agent soluble complexant (chélatant) du calcium, comportant un composé de fluorure soluble non toxique et stable, un tampon, et un ou plusieurs excipients neutres. En milieu aqueux, le mélange de cet adjuvant avec ces composants provoque une précipitation contrôlée du fluorure de calcium, l'application sur la surface des dents devant intervenir rapidement après. L'invention prévoit également des solutés buccaux, des dentifrices, des gels et des dragées de gomme à mâcher pour l'application de ces compositions et ces procédés.
