ABSTRACT The object is to provide a solid preparation of 4-t- butyl-2'-carboxymethoxy-4'-(3-methyl-2-butenyloxy)chalcone or 2'-carboxymethoxy-4,4'-bis(3-methyl-2-butenyloxy)chalcone which exhibits satisfactory absorbability and serves as a protective factor for the treatment of gastric ulcer and gastritis. The compound having a chalcone skeleton is made into a clathrate complex with a cyclodextrin to provide a complex having excellent antiulcer effects with improved bio- availability. - 14 -
