The invention relates to a physically and chemically stable, water-soluble amphiphilic polymer-BMP complex, characterised in that: the amphiphilic polymers include a hydrophilic polysaccharide skeleton functionalised by hydrophobic substituants and hydrophilic groups; the BMP is selected from the group of therapeutically active BMPs (Bone morphogenetic Proteins); the polymer/BMP mass ratio is lower than or equal to 700. The invention also relates to a method for preparing the amphiphilic polymer-BMP complex in an aqueous medium in the absence of any solvent capable of denaturing the protein. The invention further relates to therapeutic compositions of the amphiphilic polymer-BMP complex of the invention.
