The invention provides a process for preparing polymeric beads of complexing resin incorporating magnetic particles, which process comprises: producing a dispersion having a continuous aqueous phase and a dispersed organic phase, said organic phase comprising one or more polymerisable monomers, magnetic particles and a dispersing agent for dispersing said magnetic particles in the organic phase; polymerising said one or more polymerisable monomers to form polymeric beads incorporating said magnetic particles, wherein said polymeric beads include amine groups capable of complexing a transition metal cation, or wherein said polymeric beads are reacted with one or more compounds to provide amine groups capable of complexing a transition metal cation, complexing resins prepared by this process, and polymeric beads of complexing resin comprising a polymer matrix having magnetic particles dispersed substantially uniformly therein, wherein the polymer matrix incorporates amine groups capable of complexing a transition metal cation.

L'invention a trait à un procédé de préparation de billes de polymère d'une résine complexante intégrant des particules magnétiques. Ledit procédé consiste : à produire une dispersion contenant une phase aqueuse continue et une phase organique dispersée, ladite phase organique contenant un ou plusieurs monomères polymérisables, des particules magnétiques, et un agent de dispersion servant à disperser lesdites particules magnétiques dans la phase organique ; à polymériser lesdits monomères polymérisables afin de former des billes de polymère intégrant lesdites particules magnétiques, lesdites billes de polymère comprenant des groupes amines pouvant complexer un cation de métal de transition, ou lesdites billes de polymère étant mises en réaction avec un ou plusieurs composés afin de produire des groupes amines pouvant complexer un cation de métal de transition ; à complexer les résines préparées à l'aide de ce procédé, les billes de polymère de résine complexante contenant une matrice polymère renfermant des particules magnétiques dispersées sensiblement uniformément à l'intérieur, la matrice polymère intégrant des groupes amines pouvant complexer un cation de métal de transition.
