ABSTRACT A cast block, typically of concrete, in the form of a body having a top face, a bottom face, a front face, a rear face and two end faces. A ledge extends downwardly along the rear of the bottom face, and the front face has at least one indentation running perpendicular to the top and bottom faces. The indentation is sized to receive the ledge of another like block, and is spaced from the end face by a distance substantially the same as the width of the bottom face.
