The invention concerns two-layered composites capable of swelling in the presence of an aqueous liquid. Said composites are based on a superabsorbent powder fixed on a nonwoven flexible material support with self-adhesive glue. The two-layered composites can be used in different industries such as, for example, in the manufacture of cables for transporting energy or in industry producing hygiene articles.
