COMPOSITE ABSORBENT STRUCTURES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to composite absorbent struc- tures suitable for incorporation into absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, diapers, training pants and the like. Such structures comprise webs of entangled blown microfibers, substan- tially non-absorbent crimped staple fibers, particles of certain types of hydrogel-forming polymeric gelling agents and hydro- philizing agent. Such composite web structures of this construc- tion have especially desirable comfort, integrity and absorbency characteristics.
