ABSTRACT Disclosed is a composite adhesive web and a process for the production of such a web. The thermally adhesive web of the invention is comprised of a composite of randomly arranged thermoplastic filaments or, parallel thermoplastic filaments interconnected by randomly arranged thermoplastic fibers or filaments, and a fibrous thermal adhesive nonwoven sheet containing thermoplastic fibers, preferably low melting thermally adhesive fibers.
