A composite articulated coupling between two adjacent front (8) and rear (9) vehicles via an intermediate module (10) is disclosed. The coupling consists of an articulated front coupling (LAV) capable of pure pivotal movement about a first vertical pivot axis between the front vehicle (8) and the intermediate module (10), and a complex rear coupling (LAR) consisting of a coupling pivotable about a second vertical pivot axis, a lower deviation centre (CIAD) and an upper deviation stabilisation coupling (LASD). The first (B-B') and second (C-C') vertical pivot axes are adjacent to or coincide with the intermediate vertical pivot axis (A-A') of the intermediate module (10). Said coupling is of interest to manufacturers of public road transport vehicles.
La liaison composite articulée entre deux voitures successives avant (8) et arrière (9) à travers un module intermédiaire (10) se compose d'une liaison avant LAV articulée de pivotement pur autour d'un premier axe vertical de pivotement entre la voiture avant (8) et le module intermédiaire (10) et d'une liaison arrière LAR complexe formée d'une liaison de pivotement autour d'un deuxième axe vertical de pivotement, d'un centre inférieur de débattement CIAD et d'une liaison supérieure de stabilisation des débattements LASD. Le premier axe B-B' et le deuxième axe C-C' vertical de pivotement sont proches du ou confondus avec l'axe A-A' vertical médian de pivotement du module intermédiaire (10). Applications: cette invention intéresse les constructeurs de véhicules routiers urbains de transport en commun.
