ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A composite caster including a center insert and a tread made from plastic materials having different character- istics with the tread molded directly onto the insert which has means interengaging the tread to prevent separation and comprising a generally disc-like body with a central hub and a spaced annular rim which includes a free edge with the interengaging means comprising an outer rim con- centric with such annular rim and having a central web in- tegrally connecting the annular rim and the outer rim with the tread molded over the outer rim and engaged with the central web under the outer rim to fully enclose the outer rim and central web and partially overlying the free edge of the annular rim and having an annular projection from the disc like body extending outwardly from the body face to form an annular ring that provides a seal to prevent the tread from extending over the face of the body.
