A composite doctor blade comprises a steel support band configured with (Wa) a width and thickness (Ta) suitable for mounting in a blade holder, with tensile and yield strengths suitable for a selected doctoring application. A wear resistant strip of high speed steel is integrally joined to an edge of the support band. The wear resistant strip has tensile and yield strengths higher than those of the support band, and has a hardness of between about 55 to about 65 Rc.

L'invention concerne un racle composite comprenant une bande (12) support en acier présentant une largeur (Wa) et une épaisseur (Ta) adaptées au montage dans un support de racle, avec une limite élastique et une résistance à la traction adaptées aux applications de raclage sélectionnées. Une bande (14) résistante à l'usure en acier rapide est entièrement relié à un bord de la bande support. Cette bande (14) résistante à l'usure présente une limite élastique et une résistance à la traction supérieures à celles de la bande support (12), et possède une dureté comprise entre environ 55 et 65 Rc.
