Disclosed is a composite polymer electrode of a conductive polymer and an organic disulfide compound imparted with improved cycle life against repeated oxidation-reduction. The composite electrode comprises an organic disulfide compound, polyaniline and polyvinylidene fluoride. The composite electrode may further contain a metal oxide.
