A filled structure includes a fiber reinforced resinous hollow structure having a tensile strength of at least 30,000 psi and an inside surface forming a boundary which encloses a space. A hard core is provided within the space enclosed by the hollow structure. The hard core has a density of at least 35 pounds per cubic foot and a compressive strength of at least 1500 psi. The hard core is formed from a mixture of particulate cementitious material and liquid. The filled structure is constructed and arranged such that the hard core is locked to the inside surface of the hollow structure by mechanical bond or chemical lock or stressed expansion.

Cette structure remplie comporte une structure creuse résineuse renforcée par des fibres et dotée d'une résistance à la traction d'au moins 30 000 psi et d'une surface intérieure constituant une frontière qui entoure un espace. A l'intérieur dudit espace, on trouve un coeur dur enfermé par la structure creuse et possédant une densité d'au moins 35 livres par pied cube et une résistance à la compression d'au moins 1500 psi. Le coeur dur est constitué à partir d'un mélange de matière de cémentation particulaire et de liquide. La structure remplie est réalisée et conçue de manière que le coeur dur soit fixé à la surface intérieure de la structure creuse par une liaison mécanique ou un verrouillage chimique ou une dilatation sous contrainte.
