ABSTRACT The invention relates to a composite foil formed from at least two layers in which at least one thin, outer, normally water-insoluble sealing layer is connected to a water-soluble, thicker and at least monolayer supporting layer. The composite foil of the invention is characterized in that at least the sealing layer is constructed in non- porus manner by extruding a foil from a thermoplastic material. The other layers of the foil may also be produced by extrusion. This composite foil is particularly suitable for use in the manufacture of toilet seat supports.
