Abstract A composite, heat shrinkable composite film, foamed composite or heat shrinkable foamed composite film can be provided in which said composite is constituted of at least two layers comprising a barrier substrate layer, and a nonfoamed or foamed layer of an ethylene copolymer having carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds or of a composition comprising the same and a nonrigid polyolefin. The composites have excellent heat seal resistance and oil resistance. The cured or noncured composites are not only useful as nonshrinkable type packaginag materials for chilled beef, but also useful for sleeve packaging or boiling packaging materials. The composite film can be cured under milder curing conditions in a shorter period of time by irradiatio n of radiation such as ionic radiation, because said composite film has a layer of an ethylene copolymer resin having carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds susceptible to curin g reaction. The curing can be carried out more economically and safely without impairing the characteristics of the barrier substrate layer. The foamed composite or heat shrinkable foamed composite film has an excellent insulating property, shock absorbing property, and flexibility while maintaining its excellent - 34 - barrier property, heat seal resistance and high shrinkability. - 35 -
