Layered composite materials (10) adapted to be formed into predetermined shaped components disposed for contact with moisture and body fluids having a cover layer (11) for contact with the moisture and body fluids and a foam layer (12) including one or more sorbents in a hydrophilic polyurethane foam matrix, wherein the foam layer (12) is bonded to the cover layer (11) so that moisture and body fluids in contact with the cover layer (11) are transferred through the cover layer (11) to the foam layer (12). The foam layer (12) may include other active ingredients such as odor absorption and bactericidal components, thermal phase change components and finely ground rubber tire materials to vary the characteristics of the composite material. Methods for making the layered composite materials are also described.
Matériaux composites stratifiés (10) conçus pour être façonnés afin d'obtenir des éléments de forme prédéterminée venant en contact avec de l'humidité et des liquides corporels et possédant une couche de couverture (11) venant en contact avec l'humidité et les liquides corporels et une couche en mousse (12) comprenant un ou plusieurs agents de sorption dans une matrice hydrophile en mousse de polyuréthanne, ladite couche en mousse (12) adhérant à ladite couche de couverture (11), de sorte que l'humidité et les liquides corporels en contact avec ladite couche de couverture (11) sont transférés à travers la couche de couverture (11) vers la couche en mousse (12).
