S u m m a r y Composite material for sliding application and method for its manufacture The composite material for sliding application accordin to this invention comprises 30,0 to 99,8% b.w. of sintered or hardened highmolecular polymers, advantageously PTFE and 0,2 to 10% b.w. of at least one surface acting agent on the basis of aluminim silicate, advantageously organomontmorillonite or a dehydrated aluminiumsilicate. Fibrous or powdery fillers in an amount up to 70% b.w. can be present in the composite material. For manufacture of the composite material the orga- nomontmorillonite is milled in organic solvents and caused to swell. The polymers of a particle size up to 1,0 can be mixed as powder or in a suspension with the swollen loose or suspended acting agent and for instance applied as coating on a supporting element or worked to formed bodies. The composit material is after forming hardened or sintered.
