A composite material of polymeric or ceramic material, with a content of integrated reinforcing elements in the form of fibers or fibrous elements for components subjected to tension, bending, shearing, compression and/or torsion for use in implants, osteosynthesis plates, endoprosthetic parts, screw- connection elements or in surgical instruments, characterized in that in the polymeric or ceramic material at least a small proportion of the reinforcing elements is replaced with reinforcing elements which consist of a material whose X-ray absorption is higher than that of a material of the other reinforcing elements.

L'invention concerne une pièce (1) réalisée à partir d'un matériau composite, sous forme d'une vis, comportant une tête (2) avec une entaille (3) et une tige (5) avec un filetage (4). Cette pièce est constituée de thermoplastes renforcés par des fibres (6). Pour permettre l'adaptation des fibres à la forme et à l'utilisation de la pièce (1), on utilise des fibres continues (6) notamment des fibres (6) réalisées dans un matériau présentant une absorption élevée des rayons X, le parcours, la quantité et l'orientation des fibres pouvant être prédéterminés.
