Abstract of the Disclosure A composite facing slab comprises a sheet of natural stone, such as marble, and a protective layer constituted by a sheet of transparent glass. The latter is fixed to the face of the stone sheet intended to remain visible with the interpositioning of an interlayer of transparent thermoplastics material which can adhere to both the sheets and fills the surface defects (pores, cavities, cracks and the like) of the stone sheet.
