- 17 - COMPOSITES OF IN-SITU EXFOLIATED GRAPHITE Abstract Composites of graphite dispersed in a solid matrix of polymeric resin, wherein intercalated graphite flakes are mixed with a liquid polymeric resin and exfoliated in-situ in the liquid resin during the curing of the resin before complete solidification of the resin. The electrical resistivity of the composites can be varied by varying the amount of graphite in the composite and can be used as a low density electrical conductor and also as an electromagnetic interference shield.
