Disclosed is a composition, a kit or a DNA chip for use in the diagnosis of esophageal cancer, which comprises multiple polynucleotides selected from the group consisting of polynucleotides of which expression levels in an esophageal cancer tissue derived from an esophageal cancer patient are different from those in a tissue that does not contain an esophageal cancer tis-sue derived from an esophageal cancer patient, mutants of the polynucleotides and fragments of the polynucleotides. L'invention porte sur une composition, un kit ou une puce d'ADN pour une utilisation dans le diagnostic du cancer de l'oeophage, qui comporte de multiples polynucléotides choisis dans le groupe constitué par des polynucléotides dont les taux d'expression dans un tissu de cancer d'oeophage provenant d'un patient atteint du cancer de l'oeophage sont différents de ceux dans un tissu qui ne contient pas de tissu de cancer de l'oeophage provenant d'un patient atteint du cancer de l'oeophage, sur des mutants des polynucléotides et sur des fragments des polynucléotides.
