The present invention relates to a composition and method useful for regulating cell proliferation and cell death in a multicellular organism. The present invention particularly relates to a composition comprising a bacterial DNA (B-DNA) and a first pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the B-DNA induces a response in responsive cells of an animal. The present invention more particularly relates to a composition comprising a mycobacterial DNA (M-DNA) and a first pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the M-DNA inhibits proliferation of responsive cells of an animal, induces apoptosis in responsive cells of an animal, and stimulattes responsive cells of the immune system of an animal to produce bioactive molecules. Methods of making the M-DNA composition and methods of using the M-DNA composition also are disclosed.
La présente invention concerne une composition et un procédé permettant, chez les organismes pluricellulaires, de réguler la prolifération et la mort des cellules. L'invention concerne notamment une composition comprenant de l'ADN bactérien (ADN-B) et un premier vecteur pharmaceutiquement admis, l'ADN-B induisant une réponse au niveau des cellules réceptives d'un animal. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement une composition comprenant de l'ADN mycobactérien (ADN-M) et un premier vecteur pharmaceutiquement admis. En l'occurrence, l'ADN-M inhibe la prolifération des cellules réceptives d'un animal, induit l'apoptose au niveau des cellules réceptives d'un animal, et stimule les cellules réceptives du système immunitaire de l'animal pour qu'elles produisent des molécules bioactives. L'invention concerne enfin des procédés de fabrication de la composition d'ADN-M, et des procédés d'utilisation de cette composition d'ADN-M.
