This invention relates to non-aqeuous compositions and method utilizing same which are useful to remineralize subsurface dental enamel. More specifically, this invention relates to stable, single-part compositions containing calcium and phosphate salts which may be in a hydrophilic, non-aqueous vehicle and which when applied to lesions in dental enamel result in remineralization of subsurface dental enamel and/or mineralization of tubules in dentin thereby counteracting caries and/or hypersensitivity.

Cette invention concerne des compositions non aqueuses ainsi que des procédés d'utilisation de celles-ci, lesquelles sont utiles pour reminéraliser l'émail dentaire situé sous la couche de surface. Plus particulièrement, cette invention concerne des compositions stables, tout-en-un, contenant des sels de calcium et de phosphate pouvant se trouver dans un excipient hydrophile et non aqueux et qui, lorsqu'on les applique sur des lésions de l'émail dentaire, créent une reminéralisation de cet émail sous la couche de surface et/ou une minéralisation des tubules dentinaires, faisant ainsi obstacle aux caries et/ou à l'hypersensibilité.
