ABSTRACT A method is disclosed for servicing a wellbore comprising introducing into the wellbore a substantially solids-free fluid comprising an admixture of water, cal- cium bromide and methanol and wherein the admixture has a density of at least about 15 lb/gal (1.80 g/cm3) and a crystallization point of no more than about 20°C. The composition is also claimed.
