Methods and compositions are disclosed wherein exogenous chemicals are applied to plants to generate a desired biological response. One embodiment of the present invention is a plant treatment composition that comprises (a) an exogenous chemical and (b) an alkylether surfactant or mixture of such surfactants having the formula R12-O- (CH2CH2O)n(CH(CH3)CH2O)m-R13 wherein R12 is an alkyl or alkenyl group having about 16 to about 22 carbon atoms, n is an average number of about 10 to about 100, m is an average number of 0 to about and R13 is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl. The alkylether surfactant or mixture thereof is present in an amount such that the weight/weight ratio of said alkylether surfactant or mixture of such surfactants to the exogenous chemical is about 1:3 to about 1:100.
L'invention porte sur des compositions ainsi que sur les techniques afférentes permettant d'apporter à des végétaux certaines substances chimiques afin d'obtenir une réponse de type biologique souhaitée. L'une des réalisations porte sur une composition de traitement de végétaux comprenant (a), une substance chimique exogène et (b), un tensioactif à base d'alkyléther ou un mélange de ce type de tensioactif répondant à la formule: R<12>-O-(CH2CH2O)n(CH(CH3)CH2O)m-R<13>. Dans cette formule, R<12> représente un groupe alkyle ou alcényle comportant d'environ 16 à environ 22 atomes de carbone, n représente un nombre moyen d'une valeur comprise entre environ 10 et environ 100, m représente un nombre moyen d'une valeur comprise entre environ 0 et environ 5, R<13> représente un hydrogène ou un alkyle comportant de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone. Le tensioactif à base d'alkyléther ou leur mélange est présent sous une quantité telle que le rapport pondéral dudit tensioactif à base d'alkyléther ou de leur mélange/substance chimique exogène est compris entre environ 1/3 et environ 1/100.
