Methods and compositions are disclosed wherein exogenous chemicals are applied to plants to generate a desired biological response. One embodiment of the present invention is a plant treatment compositon that comprises (a) an exogenous chemical; (b) a first excipient substance which is a compound or mixture of compouds having the formula R14-CO- A-R15, wherein R14 is a hydrocarbyl group having about 5 to about 21 carbon atoms, R15 is a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to about 14 carbon atoms, the total number of carbon atoms in R14 and R15 is about 11 to about 27, and A is O or NH; and (c) a second excipient substance which is an amphiphilic substance having a critical packing parameter greater than 1/3.
L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions qui servent à l'application de produits chimiques exogènes sur des plantes afin de produire une réponse biologique souhaitée. Dans un mode de réalisation, une composition de traitement pour plantes comprend (a) un produit chimique exogène; (b) une première substance excipient qui est un composé ou un mélange de composés représentés par la formule R<14>-CO-A-R<15>, dans laquelle R<14> est un groupe hydrocarbyle ayant environ de 5 à 21 atomes de carbone, R<15> est un groupe hydrocarbyle ayant de 1 à environ 14 atomes de carbone, le nombre total d'atomes de carbone présents dans R<14> et R<15> variant de 11 environ à 27 environ, et A est O ou NH; et (c) une seconde substance excipient qui est une substance amphiphile ayant un rapport d'empilement critique supérieur à 1/3.
