An emulsion polish that includes a non-volatile silicone fluid, a liquid polyether siloxane immiscible with water and the silicone fluid, and a surfactant to stabilize the emulsion. The polyether siloxane has a specific gravity less than that of the silicone fluid. A process for treating a hard surface with such a polish is also disclosed.

L'invention concerne une encaustique en émulsion renfermant un fluide siliconé non volatil, un polyéther siloxane liquide non miscible avec l'eau et le fluide siliconé, ainsi qu'un tensioactif visant à stabiliser l'émulsion. Le polyéther siloxane a une pesanteur spécifique inférieure à celle du fluide siliconé. L'invention concerne également un procédé relatif au traitement d'une surface dure avec ce type d'encaustique.
