Abstract "Composition and Use of the Composition for the Extraction of Metals from Aqueous Solution" The invention relates to compositions for the extraction of metal values, particularly copper, from aqueous solution by solvent extraction. The composition comprises a strong 2-hydroxy-5-alkylbenzaldoxime extractant and a modifier which is a C10-C30 highly branched aliphatic ester or alcohol. The new modifiers overcome the dis- advantages with entrainment and "crud" formation.
