The invention concerns a composition consisting of 93% to 99% (by weight) 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane (F365 mfc) and 7% to 1% methanol. These two compounds form a positive azeotrope (b.p. 36.5 degrees C at standard pressure). The composition, possibly stabilized, can be used to clean and/or dry solid surfaces, particularly to deflux printed circuits and degrease mechanical parts. Those uses are also the subjects of the invention.

L'invention concerne une composition comprenant en poids 93 à 99% de 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane (F365 mfc) et 7 à 1% de méthanol. Ces deux composés forment un azéotrope positif (Eb. = 36,5° C à la pression normale). La composition, éventuellement stabilisée, peut être utilisée pour le nettoyage et/ou le séchage de surfaces solides, en particulier pour le défluxage des circuits imprimés et pour le dégraissage de pièces mécaniques. Ces usages sont également objets de l'invention.
