The composition of the invention contains particles consisting of a mineral core and a shell that uniformly covers the mineral core, said shell being made of a cerium and/or terbium phosphate, or optionally with lanthanum. The composition is characterized in that it contains potassium at a maximum potassium content of 7000 ppm. The phosphor of the invention is obtained by calcining said composition at at least 1000°C.
La composition de l'invention est du type comprenant des particules constituées d'un coeur minéral et d'une coquille recouvrant de façon homogène le coeur minéral, cette coquille étant à base d'un phosphate de cérium et/ou de terbium, éventuellement avec du lanthane. Elle est caractérisée en ce que ce qu'elle contient du potassium dans une teneur en potassium d'au plus 7000 ppm. Le luminophore de l'invention est obtenu par calcination de cette composition à au moins 1000°C.
