A water-based polymer composition containing a polyvalent metal complex and a polymer having pendant strong cationic groups and weak acid salts groups forms fast dry-to-the-touch coatings that are resistant to water and many organic solvents. These coatings can be removed with ammonia-containing solvents.

L'invention porte sur une composition polymère à base d'eau contenant un complexe métallique polyvalent et un polymère possédant des groupes cationiques, pendants, forts et des groupes de sels acides faibles. Cette composition permet de former des revêtements séchant rapidement en surface et qui résistent à l'eau et à de nombreux solvants organiques. Ces revêtements peuvent être retirés à l'aide de solvants contenant de l'ammoniaque.
