A composition for an infant formula which comprises a low threonine content; a method of producing the composition; use of the composition in the manufacture of a medicament or nutritional product for addressing the nutritional needs and providing healthy growth of an infant; and a method of addressing the nutritional needs and providing healthy growth of an infant which comprises administering an effective amount of the composition. A preferred embodiment of the composition comprises all of: i) acid whey protein or sweet whey protein from which caseino-glyco- macropeptide has been removed; and ii) free arginine; and iii) free histidine; and iv) free tyrosine or free tryptophan or tryptophan rich milk protein or a mixture thereof.
La présente invention concerne une composition à faible teneur en thréonine destinée à une formule pour enfant, un procédé de production de la composition, l'utilisation de la composition dans la fabrication d'un médicament ou d'un produit nutritionnel afin de remédier aux besoins nutritionnels et de permettre une croissance saine à un enfant, ainsi qu'une méthode destinée à remédier aux besoins nutritionnels et de permettre une croissance saine à un enfant, qui consiste à administrer une quantité judicieuse de la composition. Dans une réalisation préférée, la composition comprend: i) des protéines de lactosérum acide ou doux duquel on a éliminé un caséino-glyco-macropeptide, ii) de l'arginine libre, iii) de l'histidine libre, et iv) de la tyrosine libre ou du tryptophane libre, ou une protéine laitière riche en tryptophane ou bien un mélange de ces composés.
