A non-cross-linked composition suitable for coating onto an ink-jet recording sheet comprising: a) at least one nonionic fluorocarbon surfactant, b) at least one alkanolamine metal chelate wherein said metal is selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium and aluminum, and c) at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of hydroxycellulose and substituted hydroxycellulose polymers, such composition being cross-linkable when subjected to temperatures of at least about 90 ~C.

Composition non réticulée destinée à revêtir une feuille d'enregistrement pour jet d'encre, comprenant (a) un ou plusieurs surfactants fluorocarbonés non ioniques, (b) un ou plusieurs chélates métallifères d'alcanolamine, le métal étant choisi dans le groupe constitué du titane, du zirconium et de l'aluminium, et (c) un ou plusieurs polymères choisis dans le groupe constitué des polymères d'hydroxycellulose et d'hydroxycellulose substituée. On peut réticuler cette composition en la soumettant à des températures d'au moins 90 ·C environ.
