The present invention relates to compositions used in the application of coatings on buildings and structures essentially made of wood or metal, wherein said coatings exhibit high fire-protection and thermal insulation properties. This invention can be used in the building industry, in aviation, in railway transports and in the shipbuilding industry. This composition comprises a foaming system containing pentaerythritol or sorbitol, ammonium polyphosphate, boric acid, urea, a filler, a pigment as well as a binder consisting of resin.

Cette invention concerne des compositions que l'on utilise dans l'application de revêtements sur des constructions et des structures principalement en bois ou métalliques, lesquels revêtements possèdent d'excellentes qualités de protection contre le feu et d'isolation thermique. Cette invention peut être utilisée dans les domaines de la construction, de l'aviation, des transports ferroviaires et de la construction navale. Cette composition comprend un système moussant comprenant de la pentaérythrite ou de la sorbite, du polyphosphate d'ammonium, de l'acide borique, de l'urée, une matière de charge, un pigment ainsi qu'un liant consistant en de la résine.
