The invention relates to a composition for generating smoke comprising one or more chlorine compounds having a chlorine content of at least 56 % by weight and a mixture of one or more alkaline-earth metal oxides and one or more alkaline-earth metals, wherein the molar fraction of alkaline-earth metal, based on the total number of moles of alkaline-earth metal and alkaline-earth metal oxide, is between 0.33 and 0.67. The chlorine compound is preferably hexachloroethane.

La présente invention concerne une composition fumigène comprenant, d'une part un ou plusieurs composés chlorés dont la teneur massique en chlore est d'au moins 56%, et d'autre part un mélange rassemblant un ou plusieurs oxydes métalliques alcalino-terreux et un ou plusieurs métaux alcalino-terreux. En l'occurrence, la fraction molaire de métal alcalino-terreux, rapportée au nombre total de moles de métal alcalino-terreux et d'oxyde métallique alcalino-terreux, se situe entre 0,33 et 0,67. Le composé chloré est de préférence un hexachloroéthane.
