The invention relates to a pharmaceutical com- position intended for inducing in a host mammal a protective immune response against an antigen, at a mucosal effector site, which comprises at least two identical or different products each containing an inducing agent for the immune response, selected from the antigen and, provided the antigen is protein in nature, an expression cassette capable of expressing the antigen, for a concomitant or consecutive administration; one of the products being formulated so as to be administered via the nasobuccal route so that the inducing agent is targeted to the inducer site(s) for an immune response in the naso-oropharynx or the salivary glands, the other product being formulated so as to be administered via a suitable mucosal route other than the nasal route, so that the inducing agent is targeted to the inducer site (3) for an immune response at the effector site at which the immune response is sought. Optionally, such a composition can also comprise a third product, identical to or different from the first two, formulated for systemic administration.

L'invention a pour objet une composition pharmaceutique destinée à induire chez un mammifère hôte, une réponse immunitaire protectrice à l'encontre d'un antigène, au niveau d'un site mucosal effecteur, qui comprend au moins deux produits identiques ou différents contenant chacun un agent inducteur de la réponse immunitaire sélectionné parmi l'antigène et à condition que l'antigène soit de nature protéique, une cassette d'expression capable d'exprimer l'antigène, pour une administration concomitante ou consécutive; l'un des produits étant formulé de manière à être administré par voie naso-buccale afin que l'agent inducteur soit ciblé vers le ou les site(s) inducteur(s) d'une réponse immunitaire au niveau du naso-oro-pharynx ou des glandes salivaires, l'autre produit étant formulé de manière à être administré par une voie mucosale appropriée autre que la voie nasale, afin que l'agent inducteur soit ciblé vers le ou les site(s) inducteur(s) d'une réponse immunitaire au niveau du site effecteur où la réponse immunitaire est recherchée. De manière optionnelle, une telle composition peut aussi comprendre un troisième produit, identique ou différent aux deux premiers, formulé pour être administré par voie systémique.
