A composition for local anesthesia which comprises: (A) lidocaine; (B) catecholamines (epinephrine, etc.) in an amount of, for example, 1/200,000 (g/ml) based on the volume of the composition; and (C) an amino acid (glycine, glutamic acid, L-glutamyl-L-lysine, etc.) or a hydroxy carboxylic acid (lactic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid, etc.), has a long-lasting action suitable for dental operations within a short period of time (tooth extraction, etc.) and is excellent also in storage stability.

Composition pour anesthésie locale comprenant: (A) de la lidocaïne; (B) des catécholamines (épinéphrine, etc.) à raison, par exemple, de 1/200.000 g/ml sur la base du volume de la composition, et (C) un acide aminé (glycine, acide glutamique, L-glutamyl-L-lysine, etc.) ou un acide hydroxycarboxylique (acide lactique, acide glycolique, acide citrique, etc.).
