Composition for preparing a biodegradable polyurethane- based foam and a biodegradable polyurethane foam, comprising mixtures based on poly(hydroxybutyrate) polymer, polyols of renewable source, isocyanates and additives, with the object of preparing biodegradable polyurethane foams. In the process, the poly(hydroxybutyrate) plus the polyol, the isocyanate and the additives are previously mixed in specific mixers; once the homogenization is reached, the mixture is poured in mold for growing. After curing, the resulting product presents foam characteristics, with its density, toughness and cell size varying according to the proportion of the reagents and allowing the manufacture of several products.

Composition servant à préparer une mousse à base de polyuréthane biodégradable et mousse de polyuréthane biodégradable, ladite composition comprenant des mélanges à base de polymère de type poly(hydroxybutyrate), de polyols provenant d'une source renouvelable, d'isocyanates et d'additifs et ayant pour objet de préparer des mousses de polyuréthane biodégradables. Dans le procédé, on mélange préalablement le poly(hydroxybutyrate) et le polyol, l'isocyanate et les additifs dans des mélangeurs particuliers ; une fois l'homogénéisation atteinte, on verse le mélange dans un moule pour le faire gonfler. Après durcissement, le produit résultant présente les caractéristiques d'une mousse, sa densité, sa résistance et sa taille des alvéoles variant en fonction de la proportion des réactifs et permettant la fabrication de plusieurs produits.
