Stress cracking in poly(alkylene terephthalate) articles of manufacture is prevented by applying to the article a hydrophillic-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon having either an alkyl or aryl side chain, and a free-base amine. Preferably, the stress crack inhibitor is applied to the article in the form of an aqueous fatty acid-based lubricant.
Prévention de la fissuration sous contrainte mécanique dans les articles fabriqués en polyalkylène téréphtalate par application, en substitution d'un hydrophile, d'un hydrocarbure aromatique avec chaîne latérale d'alkyle ou d'aryl et une amine épurée. De préférence, l'inhibiteur de fissuration sous contrainte mécanique est appliqué sous forme de lubrifiant aqueux à base d'acide gras.
