The invention relates to a composition that contains leather and/or rubber particles, binders and softeners. The composition is characterized by the properties of natural leather, that is, favorable absorption of humidity, release of humidity, retention of humidity and a long-wearing and flexible behavior while it is easy to process to molded parts. The composition is processed to molded parts by (a) mixing the binder with the softener and the leather and/or rubber particles; (b) transferring the mixture to a mold that is preheated to 120 ~C to 160 ~C; (c) heat-treating the mixture in the mold for 3 to 20 minutes at maximally 160 ~C and (d) cooling and removing the molded part from the mold. The molded parts are useful as components for producing shoes and as sound-absorbing elements for the construction or automotive industry.
L'invention concerne une composition contenant des particules de cuir et/ou de caoutchouc, des liants et des plastifiants. Cette composition permet de préserver les qualités du cuir naturel, à savoir une bonne absorption, évacuation et conservation de l'humidité, ainsi que des caractéristiques de flexibilité et de résistance, et se transforme aisément en éléments moulés. La production d'éléments moulés avec cette composition comprend les étapes suivants : a) on mélange le liant avec le plastifiant et les particules de cuir et/ou de caoutchouc, b) on transfère ce mélange dans un moule préchauffé à 120 ·C - 160 ·C, (c) on soumet le moule à un traitement thermique pendant 3 - 20 minutes à une température ne dépassant pas 160 ·C, et (d) on refroidit et on retire l'élément moulé du moule. Ces éléments moulés peuvent être utilisés comme parties de chaussures ou comme éléments d'insonorisation dans l'industrie de la construction ou dans l'industrie automobile.
