A water-absorbing resin is coated with geranyl acetate-based eucalyptus oil to give an essential oil-coated resin. Next, this essential oil-coated resin is coated with a fine carbon powder, which is an essential oil desorption controller, to give carbon-coated particles. Subsequently, these carbon-coated particles are mixed with a composition for a sleep-inducing agent, an absorption promoter and a heat conduction inhibitor to thereby produce a composition for a sleep-inducing agent containing the geranyl acetate-based eucalyptus oil. Next, the above-described composition for a sleep-inducing agent is sandwiched between multiple sheet-shaped materials and the four sides of the sheet-shaped materials are bonded by thermal compression, thereby giving a transdermal absorption type sleep-inducing agent.
